He Said, “Books or Me?”

One of my favorite pastimes is reading. I absolutely LOVE reading, being able to enter another world is an amazing feeling. You can direct YOUR VERY OWN movie when you read, how much cooler can that get?! Sure the author gives you the descriptions of the characters and places, but YOU can choose what they look like, how they sound, where they are, and so much more! Think about it for a second, just a second; whichever book you decide to read, someone else is reading the exact same book… BUT they are imagining every little detail you are completely different than you are! Maybe the author pictured every detail differently than you too, yet it’s the same book!

So when it comes to books, I tend to get a little weird; not like Gollum from Lord of the Rings, but more like OCD weird. So when I buy books that happen to be in a series, I MUST have the whole series in the same format; if one is in paperback format then the rest of the series must be in paperback, and the same goes for hardcover. I don’t know why, but if the series is all mismatched and whacky it freaks me out. When my best friend first realized this, it was in an amazing two-story Barnes & Noble and she just laughed at me. It’s okay though because she bought my books.

I have two bookshelves that are so filled that all my other books are lying around around my house. I always have a book on me, you’ll never find me without one. I’m serious too, you can ask anyone who knows me, in fact I always have one in my purse… I don’t even know how many books I have, but I know my library of books will continue to grow. I hope to one day have a library like the one in Beauty and the Beast. Yes, I was that kid.

I have so many books that I have so much love for I don’t have a favorite, so please don’t ask! However, here are a few that I wouldn’t mind rereading again:

Blue Bloods by Melissa De La Cruz

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

House of Night by P.C. and Kristin Cast

Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson

The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

And that’s not even half! To think that there’s still so much to read…

Lots of Love,
